Cheek augmentation places long lasting implants to restore the youthful voluminous mid-face. Cheek implants are often recommended with facelifts or lower eyelid surgery to create a more aesthetic contour.

Chin implants are sized according to your needs. These implants are inserted via either an intraoral incision or smaller implants, or via an external neck incision for larger anatomical or specialized implants. Cheek implants are also sized to your dimensions. These implants are inserted via an intraoral incision and placed into different positions on the cheek bones.

The surgery can take one to three hours in a surgery center. Simpler procedure may need only local anesthesia, whereas some require general anesthesia.

When and What Results Might Be Expected?
How long does the results last?
Immediate modest to dramatically enhanced chin projection, neck line, or cheek volume may be expected. Results may be expected to last decades.

What is the recovery like? When can I return to work and activities?
Recovery usually takes one week. Moderate swelling and bruising are expected. Postoperative cold compresses and anti-bruising medicine are often helpful. Use of prescribed pain medicine usually is not necessary. Make-up can be applied within one week. Most patients return to work and regular activities in one week.

Any treatments to help maintain or enhance my results?
Minor adjustments, maintenance, or further enhancements can often be done nonsurgically without surgery using the non-surgical procedures such as BOTOX®, Fillers, or Non-Surgical Facelift. More extensive changes may require further surgical shaping. For the enhancement of chin implant and/or facelift is often recommended at the same time.
